James Helms relies on his experience with brand design, storytelling, creative direction, teaching and strategic thinking to create products and platforms that deliver measured customer benefits. He enjoys unlocking design thinking with his peers in product management, engineering, marketing, sales and customer care to lead and enable organizational excellence. James loves to help shape and execute a business strategy fueled by customer empathy and innovation.
James has optimized creative departments with key hires, high standards and an advocacy for magic. He has grown those companies through department and organizational leadership, early career mentorship, and cross-functional integration.
James has taught at UNT, and shared his experience with students at UTD, A&M, OU, SMU, University of Delaware, and Philadelphia College of Art and conducted portfolio reviews at The One Club and the DSVC. He’s also taught the concepts of design and user experience to elementary, middle- and high-school students.
