Mariah Hay cares about good design. Having started out in Industrial Design, she has had the pleasure of working for a variety of companies helping craft useful and useable physical, digital, and service products across multiple disciplines and platforms. She has worked in everything from luggage to social media, but would be the first to admit she is most passionate about healthcare and education.
Mariah is currently the VP of Product for Pluralsight, a company that provides online learning for the technology community through over 5000 courses, adaptive skills measurements, and 1:1 mentoring. She serves on the board of the Women’s Tech Council of Utah, and is the Founder and Co-Organizer for Ladies that UX Salt Lake City Chapter, and Co-Organizer for Product Hive.
She was previously the Director of User Experience Design for Universal Mind, one of the largest independent digital agencies in North America. Prior to that she served as the Director of User Experience for a remote patient monitoring company, AMC Health, developing remote patient monitoring software that connects with medical devices and clinical services.
Mariah has served as professor of Design Management at Savannah College of Art and Design where she also helped them develop their graduate curriculum for their eLearning campus. When she not teaching or designing you will most likely find her learning, traveling, and connecting with others who want to make the world a more user-friendly place.
