It is set in stone. We have signed the contract. It is a done deal. Mark your calendars! Big Design Conference 2012 is scheduled for May 31st to June 2nd. We are back at the lovely Crowne Plaza in Addison, too. We need speakers.
Call for Speakers
Share your thoughts with the Big Design community. Partner, put aside your stage fright, submit your idea, and see what happens. Each talk run for 45 minutes. Individual talks, co-speakers, or panels are welcome! We have many tracks and over 50 slots to fill. We do have a “no diva” policy, though.
You can submit to any of these tracks: design, development, content, usability, career, and more. We do want you to talk about exciting new trends, scrappy methods, case studies, practical answers, inspirational talks, demos, and so on.
NOTE: We are thinking about adding a film track, too. We would like to showcase films, shorts, and animation at the conference. How cool is that!
Submission Details & Deadlines
All submissions are due by January 31, 2012. We will review them and let you know. If we are interested in your topic, we might ask you to refine your talk to better fit the program. We will notify the speakers by the end of February.
When you submit, we want you to send the following things:
- Title of talk
- Type of presentation (individual talk, panel, co-speakers)
- Where it fits (usability, design, mobile, gaming, development)
- Two paragraph description (something we could add to the website)
- What People Will Learn (yes, we need learning objectives)
- Brief Bio (nothing long-winded
