Stephen P. Anderson is Big Design 2012 Closing Speaker for Day 1

Stephen AndersonStephen P. Anderson will be the closing speaker on Day 1 (Friday, June 1) at Big Design 2012. Yes, you still have another day on Saturday, June 2. Stephen is a perfect bridge between these two days. Stephen has spoken at the Big Design Conference each year. His talks are easily some of the most popular ones, too. If you have never heard Stephen talk, you will be affirmed by what you already know and you will be inspired by what Stephen says about the things you don’t know.

Stephen P. Anderson has many talented gifts. In my mind, Stephen’s greatest gift is his ability to teach. He enjoys reading books, blogs, articles, news, and more. Stephen lets this knowledge incubate, then he applies it to a specific design-related topic. I promise you will learn something by just attending Stephen’s talk. NOTE: I don’t think there is a pop-quiz at the end of Stephen’s talk. I could be wrong, though.

Brief Bio of Stephen P. Anderson

Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Stephen spent more than a decade growing and leading teams of information architects, interaction designers and UI developers in the creation of all types of interactive experiences, bringing value to clients such as Nokia, Frito-Lay, Sabre Travel Network, and Chesapeake Energy as well as smaller technology startups.

Stephen is passionate about elegant design, remarkable customer experiences and managing maverick teams– topics he loves to write and speak about. In addition to consulting, he is in the process of doing research for a book that will teach businesses how to attract and manage the maverick personality. As time permits, Stephen enjoys sharing his thoughts at poetpainter.com.

Stephen Anderson has written a User Experience book called Seductive Interaction Design. In addtion, Stephen has created a set of design cards called Mental Notes, which helps designers to add some pschology principles to their projects.
