Where to Eat, Drink, and Be Merry
With plenty of top-notch restaurants in Dallas, it’s not hard to find amazing restaurants to impress a client or date while you’re in town. But now that Big Design 2019 is located in the heart of Dallas, it’s time for an updated answer to a Big question: “Where should I eat, drink, and be entertained when I’m not at Big Design?”

Monica’s Mex-Tex Cantina
With a perfect blend of cool and hot, Monica’s is one of the trendiest and inventive restaurants in Dallas with it’s retro vibe and elevated takes on comfort Mexican food classics. Not hungry? Head over anyways for one of their amazing cocktails at their impressive fully stocked bar!

Checkered Past
Nestled down a short flight of stairs in the South Side building, Checkered Past wine pub offers small plates, wine, beer and great live music Thursday – Saturday. Did we also forget to add that Checkered Past holds the title as one of the Best Wine Bars in Dallas?

Alamo Drafthouse
Alamo Drafthouse is a stylish theater for new & classic films that has its roots in Texas. Not interested in a movie though? Not a problem – the open-air balcony bar upstairs is a great place for cocktails & creative bites.

Full Circle Tavern
Full Circle Tavern has everything a good tavern should have: great burgers, a friendly atmosphere, a full bar. This place is fun, casual, and very popular, so be sure to get there early for a good seat. They also have a great Sunday Funday brunch menu for those of you staying through the weekend.

Located on the first floor at the trendy Canvas Hotel, Chef’s Pallette serves up modern takes on breakfast, lunch, and dinner with seasonal, fresh ingredients.

The pizza zealots at ZaLat Pizza are on a mission from the gods to make the best pizza in the Universe. They make their own dough, oven-roast Roma tomatoes to make fresh pizza sauce, and use the most delicious cheese that they can get their hands on.

Off The Bone BBQ
Don’t let the small counter-service stop fool you – Off the Bone BBQ has BIG flavors and puts a gourmet spin on BBQ with pecan-smoked ribs & other specialties. In case you really need convincing: they were featured as one of the 16 best BBQs joints in DFW.
