We’ve come a long way! Designing voice based UX for Alexa and Google.

The first known speech recognition system, ‘Audrey,’ was created in 1952 by Bell Labs. Followed on by ‘Shoebox’ created by IBM in 1961. We have come a long way since then! Amazon and Google, along with Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, and others have created platforms that are enabling Brands to create engaging user experiences across multiple devices and platforms. This talk will focus on the why, how, and what of these new tools. By the end of the talk, the participants should have the base level skills required to create, at the very least, an Alexa skill. It’s time to embrace voice and get building!
