Biography

I graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Creative Advertising and Business Administration. After school, I worked as an Art Director for Moroch in Dallas. I produced work for DFW Airport, Visionworks, Oasis Bath Tissue, Pure Fishing, McDonald’s, and Coca-Cola. Designing packaging and logos became my favorite projects, so I decided to leave my position to pursue an M.F.A. in graphic design at SCAD Atlanta. This program exposed me to UX design and an opportunity to intern with IBM Studios in Austin, Texas. I was very drawn to their methodology and philosophy of Design Thinking, which taught me about gaining true empathy for users. Solving real problems that affect real people? Sign me up.

The summer after graduating, I moved to Austin to work for IBM, where I have worked for almost 2 years. Now, I’m a UX/Visual Designer working on IBM Infrastructure on Cloud Platform. In addition to my team, I collaborate with offering managers, architects, and both front end and back end developers to design infrastructure offerings including security groups, access control lists, and load balancers.
