Biography
Joshua Payberah, a former journalist and current master’s candidate in interaction design at the University of North Texas, is interested in designs that will bring about meaningful change in culture and society. His current focus is on empowering citizens with knowledge of the law so that they have a fighting chance in the face of corruption—namely, police misconduct. Payberah strongly believes that cities belong to the citizens and that such a disproportionate allocation of power in the hands of the few is a recipe for disaster as was clearly demonstrated in the now infamous Stanford Prison Experiment (Zimbardo, 1971).
